Enontekiö 1270 is located in the middle of fairytale landscapes in Kilpisjärvi village. The landscape is dominated by clear fell lakes and Finland's largest fells. The most famous of the fells is the steep Saana, at the foot of which the village is located.
Saana's Lumous is a warm and well-equipped cabin. From the large windows, the wide fell landscape opens up to Ala-Kilpisjärvi, which you can admire in the warmth of the fireplace. The cabin's windows are heated, so they stay clear even in the harshest winter weather.
430 km to the northwest from Rovaniemi, 170 km from Enontekiö municipality center, 90 m to the Ala-Kilpisjärvi shoreline, no own beach, low-traffic road between the beach and the cabin.
Wood-built cabin, built in 2022. Living room/kitchen, 2 separate motor beds in bedroom, bunk bed in another bedroom, sauna, washroom/WC, covered terrace and small storage.
Charging station for electric and hybrid cars. Charging must be done between 22:00 and 10:00, price 25 e/charge. Order in advance.
During the summer (starting from May to 23), we offer 2 bicycles (one fat bike), bicycles can be arranged separately with the owner (contact information in the booking confirmation). The bikes are shared with another cottage (16755 Saanan Helmi).
The kitchen is equipped with induction hob and separate oven. The storage shown in the picture is not available for customers.
At Kilpisjärvi, travelers can experience many kinds of experiences all year round. The area is especially popular with nature tourists.
In addition to the attractions of Kilpisjärvi area, it is only 16 km distance to the Norwegian border and 50 km distance to the shore of the fjord.
1.1 km to the Kalotti hiking route, many good day routes in the area. Kilpisjärvi nature center and Saanatunturi trail 1,1 km, Malla nature park 8 km, boundary mark of three counties (Finland, Sweden and Norway) 16 km.
Enontekiö ice fishing week and "Only two fish ice fishing competition" in early May.
Small game hunting area: 1613 Käsivarsi, fishing area: 1551 Enontekiö wilderness (www.eraluvat.fi).
