This is a great house; very clean and had everything we needed. Inside and out-was great for us. It’...s a nice house, outdoor area is perfectly maintained and comfortable beds. Loved the amenities at encore-all very well organized and fun. We would love to go there again. The only issue we had was the free transportation that is offered to Disney. It’s handled by a 3rd party and the information/times listed by encore were not accurate. I researched and asked lots of questions of the encore desk people beforehand but it still didn’t go well. Here are details in case you are deciding whether to use the bus. The bus took 1h in the morning to arrive at Disney transportation center (went to multiple resorts until it was full), it did not stop where the info said it would (no animal kingdom stop so we had a 10min walk from the transportation center to catch a Disney bus (30min wait) to the AK) and the evening bus wasn’t in the space that was listed so we waited and eventually missed it even though we were there (2 buses at the transportation row and neither bus driver or transportation manager knew the name of the resort and told us they weren’t the bus we were waiting on) ....the encore desk was unable to give us better info or help us as we dealt with being left at Disney bc it was “all 3rd party”. (1 of those buses was actually our bus but was parked in a different spot). Encore gave us the bus stations number and that’s how we found out we had been left. They offered to double back after a universal studios pickup and get us but we decided it would be better to taxi home at that point (at that point we had been sitting in the middle of the parking lot for 45min). Ended up being fine as we Ubered our family of 7 home (which requires 2 Uber cars) but was a very frustrating experience at the end of a long day. We drove ourselves the other days and just paid for parking—this was a great $25 decision and allowed us to get to parks on time and get home reliably. Hopefully this info will save another family from this frustration. Encore would do well to have more accurate info about the buses and what it’s like for people riding them. Of note—encore thought it was bc it was the off season (feb) that the bus issues occurred and was very apologetic. 10-15 minutes from Disney World. Well decorated, very clean, large space, fun rental home. We were t...raveling with 4 adults, two children (age 5 & 6) and a toddler (age 2) and there was plenty of space for all of us. The rental comes with MANY pool towels and more than enough towels for the bathrooms. Garage will hold one vehicle, we fit a massive Infiniti QX80 in there, easily. Two adult-sized bicycles, several foldable lawn chairs, and a single child seat are also available in the garage. There is a clubhouse nearby with a gym, restaurant, small shop, water park, etc. Fully stocked kitchen (dishware/appliances/etc.). Several services can be booked for this rental home: shuttles to and from the club house, shuttles to and from Disney World, in-home personal chef, maintenance services, and a bunch more. Heated pool + jacuzzi is fantastic but requires a daily fee (to heat) and a minimum number of nights to activate. The standard is 5 nights but I believe the management team would be willing to work with you if your reservation is for fewer nights. The upstairs "play room" has board games, card games, air hockey/ping pong table, XBOX, Cable TV. Each bathroom comes with a blow dryer. The bedrooms come with SO many pillows/sheets/blankets. The A/C & Heating can be a little tricky as the home is only equipped with a single unit but there are two sets of thermostats, one for upstairs and one for downstairs- I *believe* the downstairs is the main control and the upstairs opens/closes dampers to divert air. We happened to arrive when it was <60degF so heating was required for downstairs but the upstairs got too hot. Attempting to heat the downstairs while simultaneously cool the second floor is impossible and not properly communicated in the manual provided. It's better suited for regulating temps when it's continuously hot outside. The state of Florida requires a safety alarm when going in and out of the home to access the backyard pool area- this requires you to push a button on the wall each time, which can get tiresome (and disruptive as it is a loud, shrill sound). However, it is GREAT for traveling with children as it keeps them from accessing the pool without your knowledge. The downside is the inability to keep the doors/windows open downstairs. Most consumables are provided but the property only provides a limited amount- e.g.: garbage bags (QTY: 3), laundry detergent (QTY: 1 load), dishwasher pods (QTY: 3), toilet paper (QTY: 1/bathroom), paper towel (QTY: 1). Also, note that only a single shampoo/body wash/conditioner set (standard hotel sizes) is provided per bathroom- you will need to purchase more for longer stays; we went to the WalMart (not more than a 5 minute drive away) for groceries and to replenish our toiletries/consumables. The water in Florida can be a bit alkaline so I would highly suggest getting your own soaps to avoid dry skin, especially for the children. Overall: I would HIGHLY recommend this rental. Read More
